Memory Support Programming – helping those affected by memory loss and improving quality of life

Memory Support Programming

A diagnosis of memory impairment doesn’t have to mean a loss of quality of life for everyone involved. Garbry Ridge strives to meet our residents’ needs at every single stage in their life, including our residents who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia.

The environment at Garbry Ridge is designed to feel like home throughout all our neighborhoods. Our purpose in this specialized neighborhood is to provide comfort in a safe and secure setting, promote joy through one-on-one connections between our care team and residents, and maintain our residents’ dignity. The key differences in our memory care services versus the traditional assisted living setting are that our team members undergo specialized training to provide the best approaches to building relationships and caring for those with memory impairment conditions, our memory neighborhood is in a privately secured area, and we coordinate social activities and daily schedules specifically designed for the needs of those with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.

This one-of-a-kind neighborhood offers

Vigil Memory Care System

The Vigil Memory Care System uses passive sensors to monitor the movement of individuals while in their rooms. The Vigil software gathers information about each resident’s activities and alerts a caregiver when a resident’s activities are outside of their normal or safe behavior patterns.
